Criss Cross Applesauce

That is what my girls call this quilt top. It has taken me months to finish this but I am determined. I need to add another row for a good size lap quilt.

I can't remember where I got this pattern from but I am learning how to make my own slowly but surely on EQ7. I haven't taken the time to just sit down and read the book (could be that I'm homeschooling five children : ) but I have done the first three tutorials. It does even more than I had imagined.

I have a few other projects in progress as well. I'm thinking that now is a time to finish these things up and maybe not start anything else new until they are done. But no promises!

Before I go did I mention that my favorite part of this quilt is the corduroy square? I had never done this before but I love the different textures. I think I might start experimenting with this more.

Today I'm linking up with

  1. This looks amazing! And from a teacher - well done you home schooling five children!!!

  2. I love is a cheerful pattern in those fabrics. It actually makes me happy to look at it.

  3. Love the quilt! Very sweet.....also very fond of your blog title...."Quilting in the Woods". I'm moving to northern Florida later this year to do just that! Blissful!
